Make a Donation
There are many ways to help this campaign—writing letters to elected
officials, turning out to public hearings—but if you endorse the ideals of
the campaign, please also make a financial contribution.
According to published reports, the Chumash tribe and Fess Parker are planning a $250-million housing, hotel and golf development near the intersection of highways 154 and 246. Clearly, they have the financial means to lobby for approval of their development projects.
Your contribution will help:
- Educate officials in Santa Barbara, Sacramento and Washington, D.C.
- Reach out to local, statewide and national media
- Broaden our coalition through direct mail and advertising
- Legally challenge the Parker-Chumash deal, if necessary
Most importantly, your contribution will help protect the rural character
of the beautiful valley that we all share.
How You Can Contribute
Any monetary contribution you make will help this campaign. You may prefer
to make a one-time contribution, or you can choose to contribute monthly.
Coordinating the campaign and fund-raising is Santa Ynez
Valley Concerned Citizens (SYVCC), a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(4)
organization. Contributions to SYVCC are not deductible as
charitable donations, but they may be deductible as business expenses.
Consult your tax advisor.
Please make checks payable to Santa Ynez Valley Concerned Citizens. Mail
your contribution (or monthly pledge) along with your name, mailing
